Grupo Peñarroya sponsors the 4th Business Forum: “New challenges, new scenarios”

As mentioned at previous events, to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Grupo Peñarroya, we are organising a wide-reaching programme that seeks to facilitate the exchange of ideas with other companies, based on the transfer of knowledge and support for Corporate Social Responsibility causes developed by our Group.

As part of the celebrations of our 50th anniversary, Grupo Peñarroya has sponsored the 4th Business Forum: “New challenges, new scenarios”, an interesting business stimulation workshop focussing on new opportunities offered by digitalisation to the companies of today.

The encounter, attended by the main Directors at Grupo Peñarroya, was held on 31 May at the Assembly Hall of Unicaja.

The fourth edition of the forum, organised by the Association of Entrepreneurs of Málaga, CEM, focused on digitalisation as a key factor of competitiveness.

The Group’s Directors had the opportunity to learn from experience and exchange ideas with Manuel Azuaga Moreno, CEO and Deputy Chairman at Unicaja Banco, in addition to participants at the round table: Managing Director for the South at Telefónica, María Jesús Almazor, Managing Director at SOPHOS Iberia, Pablo Teijeira, Director of the Spanish Delegation at COMARCh, Dorota Zimny, VP New Customer Acquisition at Sage Spain, Alfonso Franch Meneu, and Nicolás Molina García, partner responsible for legal and taxation services in Malaga. The thought-provoking round table was moderated by Antonio Gómez Guillamón, Managing Director at AERTEC Solutions..

In addition to the Group’s Chairwoman, Pepa Peñarroya, the Director of the Hotel Division, Mª Francisca Peñarroya was in attendance. They were accompanied by Cristóbal Peñarroya, Founder and Honorary Chairman.

The encounter boasted the presence of the Mayor of Malaga, Francisco de la Torre, accompanied by the Chairman of the Association of Entrepreneurs of Malaga (CEM) and Andalusia (CEA), Javier González de Lara y Sarria.

Grupo Peñarroya was pleased to sponsor this event and thus collaborate in the dissemination of “a digital culture” in the production sector. In the words of Executive Vice President/General Secretary of CEM, Natalia Sánchez Romero:

“We live, as you well know, in a constantly changing environment in which to survive, you have to be fast, flexible, have a very appealing human resources culture and innovate, not only in terms of products and services, but in procedures and organisational structures. In this context, digitalisation is a company’s best ally”, she explained.
