Grupo Peñarroya collaborates in the Business Leadership Workshop
The arrival of 2016 serves as a reminder that a very important date for our group is on the horizon, as we turn 50. Throughout the year, we will be organising a series of activities and collaborations at different events, as we we hope this year sees an exchange of ideas with other companies, in which we share knowledge, celebrations and support Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives in which we believe.
Our objective is to share our experience, history and knowledge of residential and holiday tourism with local stakeholders and the business world, in addition to renewing our commitment to society and the surrounding environment.
As part of the framework to celebrate our 50th anniversary, Grupo Peñarroya has collaborated in the Business Leadership Workshops “New Business Models, New Leaderships Models”, an interesting encounter that represents an opportunity to exchange ideas with representatives of the new leadership models.
The encounter, attended by a number of the Group’s management team, was held on 22 April at the Les Roches Marbella International School of Hotel Management.
The event was organised by the Association of Entrepreneurs and Professionals – CIT Marbella, with a view to inspiring, learning from the best and promoting new models in today’s businesses, with very interesting presentations led by representatives of the new leadership models.
The Group’s management were given the opportunity to learn from experience and exchange ideas with Margarita Álvarez, Director of Marketing and Communication at Grupo Adecco, the founder of Tuenti and CEO at Jobandtalent, Félix Ruíz, and the chairman and founder of Room Mate Hoteles and BeMate.com, Kike Sarasola.
In addition to the Group’s Chairwoman, Pepa Peñarroya, the Director of La Reserva de Marbella, Ana María Peñarroya, and the Director of the Hotel Division, Mª Francisca Peñarroya were in attendance. They were accompanied by Sonia Santos, Management Systems and Sustainability Manager, Remedioa Miralles, Corporate Human Resources Director, Inmaculada Usano, CCO at Holiday World, and the Directors of the different Holiday World hotels, Juan Luis Pérez, Pedro Herves, Cecilia Pérez and José García Vico.
The Mayor of Marbella, José Bernal attended the event, accompanied by the Chairman of CIT, Juan José González, and the Managing Director of Les Roches Marbella, Carlos Díez de la Lastra.
It was a privilege for us to actively collaborate in this event, which, in the words of the Mayor of Marbella “makes it possible to discover the experience of leaders in their corresponding fields first hand. We are grateful that this kind of event has been organised in Marbella, with today representing the third edition of this particular event, as part of which we emphasise entrepreneurship and leadership, two concepts that must go hand-in-hand”.
