Grupo Peñarroya participates in Corporate Outreach Workshops at the University of Malaga
The Faculty of Tourism recently held the 6th “Corporate Outreach Workshops at the University”, an initiative promoted by the University of Malaga and the Association of Entrepreneurs in Málaga (CEM) in collaboration with the Faculty of Tourism, Link, Esesa, Unicaja26, Association of Young Entrepreneurs (AJE), Chamber of Commerce and Grupo Peñarroya.
This event represents one of the dates in the calendar of activities and collaborations to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Grupo Peñarroya. This wide-reaching programme seeks to facilitate the exchange of ideas with other companies, based on the transfer of knowledge and support for Corporate Social Responsibility causes developed by the Group.
The objective of this educational workshop was to provide students, particularly those approaching the end of their degrees, with a real vision of the business world, of the labour market and of entrepreneurship. This is the third consecutive year that the initiative has been held, promoting the entrepreneurial spirit amongst university students
In the Main Hall and the Assembly Hall at the Faculty of Tourism a series of conferences were held, in which the Director of the Group’s Hotel Division, Mª Francisca Peñarroya played an important role, who exhibited the case of Holiday World, “a profitable, sustainable, innovative and human tourism management model”, as a successful model within the tourism sector.
The workshop was rounded off with appearances from Domingo Joaquín Narváez, Head of the Businesses Unit at Unicaja, who delivered a conference entitled “Financing Entrepreneurship”; Manuel Lara, who addressed marketing on social networks, and Alejandro Durán, a specialist in Human Resources management and renowned blogger in the sector, who delivered the conference “Personal and Professional Brand of the Successful Entrepreneur”.
